Tabs don't work on SWXE Mac High Sierra

When I click on the tabs on the top bar, the selections below can't be clicked and disappear the moment I scroll down. Example: I click on 'Video' and I try to scroll down to select 'Open', I can only see the word 'Open' for a mili-second and then it disappears.

What is wrong?

I can drag and drop the video file but can't write subtitles.

When I close the software I get an error message!
