Unexpected shut down

I'm using the newest version 7r9 and I love the interface changes you've made.

The program runs smoothly but it unexpectedly prompts 'save' after some minutes' work. If I hit the 'cancel' button the current file will close unsaved. An 'open new file' will then be prompted and then, all changes made on the file will be lost.
Something that's also quite inconvenient is the program does not have a 'save changes' option. If you hit the 'save' option, it will prompt saving a new file, and not the current one, or replace the current file.

Thanks for the report, can you tell us what operating system you are using and, if possible, the steps to follow to reproduce this error?
