Feature Requests / Alt + V could jump to the next...

Whenever I am timing the subtitles I like to go through the video and do Alt + C to set the start of the subtitle and then Alt + V to set the end of the subtitle.

For the version that I am using (Subtitle Workshop 7.02 r2), when I press Alt + V it sets the end of the subtitle but it does not go to the next one. If that was the case, it would be possible to synchronize the video just using these two shortcuts while the video plays.

So my suggestion is: To jump to the next selection when Alt + V is pressed. Or at least add an option to allow it.

copy the SW folder to some writable location.
SW in windows currently writes the configuration in its same folder but we will change it in future versions.

the latest version works on MacOS 12.6.3, I don't have a way to test on higher versions :S

Let's see if we can fix it...

First you need to have VLC or FFMPEG installed for audio extraction,
if you already have it, after opening the video file in SW,
go to "Video/Extract waveform..." menu and if everything is correct, click the "Extract..." button.

Hi there.
I would like to use the SW soft but it seems there is a problem creating the sw.cfg file when exiting SW.

My "Program Files (x86) folder is read-only, probably that causes the error message.

Could you please look into this matter? As soon as this is resolved I can start/continue to use the splendid tool at its full power. Thank you and, Merry Christmas!

When are you expecting to have a precompiled MacOS version for Subtitle Workshop 7.02 r1 or later? I'm looking at replacement captioning software for our Mac based captioning lab. So far I like what I see in SW but not having a working MacOS 13 version complicates things for running on our Mac Studio computers.

I would like to know if is possible to change the Shortcut Shift+N to another key combination?
Always I start a phrase with N like is New Orleans, a new file is triggered.

You need to install mpv via brew and try new SW 7.02 r1 version
