Whenever I am timing the subtitles I like to go through the video and do Alt + C to set the start of the subtitle and then Alt + V to set the end of the subtitle.
For the version that I am using (Subtitle Workshop 7.02 r2), when I press Alt + V it sets the end of the subtitle but it does not go to the next one. If that was the case, it would be possible to synchronize the video just using these two shortcuts while the video plays.
So my suggestion is: To jump to the next selection when Alt + V is pressed. Or at least add an option to allow it.
First you need to have VLC or FFMPEG installed for audio extraction, if you already have it, after opening the video file in SW, go to "Video/Extract waveform..." menu and if everything is correct, click the "Extract..." button.
When are you expecting to have a precompiled MacOS version for Subtitle Workshop 7.02 r1 or later? I'm looking at replacement captioning software for our Mac based captioning lab. So far I like what I see in SW but not having a working MacOS 13 version complicates things for running on our Mac Studio computers. Thanks for your time and help with this. Toby
